DIANI – Kisite Mpunguti- WASINI
Diani Beach is a major beach destination on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. It is located 30 kilometres south of Mombasa, in the nearby Kwale County. It has been voted Africa’s leading beach destination.

Diani has always been one of my favorite places in Kenya to experience white sands and calmness of the Indian Ocean . The trip took us to Kisite- Mpunguti Marine National Park where we got a chance to view close by dolphins swimming gracefully next to our boat which was a sight to behold. The beach reef and the ocean view was magnificent in the park and at some point we snorkeled with the fish of the ocean surrounded by a coral reef. The boat ride to the snorkeling spot was slightly scary but was magical. This is an experience I recommend to explorers and adventurers to try. The lunch, which was an experience of sea food delicacies, was at the Wasini Island (an Island that still maintains it’s cultural humble beginnings).

Finally we visited shimoni caves where slaves we kept in pens as they await to be shipped away by slave traders.
