Day 1

Transfer to Mgahinga

Early morning you will be picked up from you’re place of residence and we will; transfer south west of Uganda. Stopover at the equator for a chance to take a few pictures standing in two hemispheres at the same time. Later continue with a stop for lunch before arriving in Kisoro.

Main Destination: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Day 2

Golden Monkey Tracking

Set off into the deep forest of Mgahinga in search of the endangered golden monkeys popularly known as the little primates. The Mgahinga gorilla National Park is the only place in Uganda where you can come face to face with the shinny little primates. Trek up into the bamboo vegetation where they like to hangout and live.

After this days tracking you will get transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will be doing gorilla tracking the next day.

Day 3

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi

After a good breakfast transfer to Bwindi for gorilla trekking. Upon arrival we will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing. With a well trained ranger will make our way in the forest in search of a Gorilla family, the trek is pretty strenuous but highly rewarding. In the afternoon depending on the time and the effort left t we may continue to a community walk or a nature walk.

Day 4

Transfer to Kibaale

After a good breakfast transfer to Bwindi for gorilla trekking. Upon arrival we will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing. In the afternoon depending on the time and the effort left t we may continue to a community walk or a nature walk.

Day 5

Chimpanzee trekking

Assemble at the park headquarters early morning after breakfast for the chimpanzee trek. Kibale Escorted by a well trained guide and ranger we will make our way through the rich tropical rainforest of Kibale as we explore the rich biodiversity in the area. Today we will put particular emphasis on the chimpanzees. These delightful primates are a great delight to watch as they play in the fruiting tress. Later on in the afternoon, we will visit the bigodi wetlands which also harbor a wide variety of primates and birds.

Day 6

Transfer to Entebbe

This morning you may visit the nyakasura hills also famous for the mabere ganyinamwiru in the local language (scientifically known as the stalactites and stalagmites, the place poses a rich cultural history of the batooro. Or you may visit the Crater Lake area and hike all the way to the top of the world which offers a spectacular and rewarding view. Later transfer to Back to Kampala.
