4 DAY SAMBURU SAFARI
The Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro river in Kenya. On the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the Beisa oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five).
The reserve is also home to elephants and large predators such as the lion, leopard, and cheetah. Kamunyak the miracle lioness that adopted the baby oryx was as a resident in the reserve. Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area. Birdlife is abundant with over 450 species recorded.
You will begin your tour in Nairobi with a walking tour of the CBD and later Enjoy amazing game viewing drives and see the leopard hunting for game or the big herds of elephants taking a bath in the Ewaso Ngiro River. The package is for everyone.

ITINERARY
Day One: Nairobi JKIA
Arrive Nairobi JKIA where our representative will be waiting to receive you. After a short brief, transfer to your City hotel for Check-in. After relaxation and lunch (at an extra fee), head out for a Nairobi City Walking Tour. Visit the Central Business District, Parliament Buildings, Markets, and other historic sites. Head back to the hotel for overnight or Optional experience a Game Meat Dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant.
Day Two: Samburu National Reserve
Early morning after breakfast we head to Samburu National Reserve located in a semi-desert. Enroute we stopover at the equator, Nanyuki, for a photo session. On arrival enjoy a game drive as you drive to your luxury camp. Check-in and lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. At sunset head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day Three: Game drives in the reserve
Experience a morning and evening game drive at the park. A variety of animals can be found. These include lion, elephant, leopard, dik-dik, mongoose, waterbuck, impala, baboon, cheetah and monkey. The rare Gravy’s Zebra is also found here. Head back to the lodge and spend the evening relaxing at the banks of the river. Enjoy a well set up Bush Dinner and the chef will prepare you sumptuous delicacies. Overnight at the lodge.
Day Four: Cultural village
After breakfast, check out of the lodge. We will tour the Samburu Village for a Cultural Tour where you learn the ways of life of the community. Depart for Nairobi and on arrival drop off at the hotel, airport or proceed with your safari.
